COLORADO - Mountain Goats 2011
Mt. Evans is over 14,000 feet in elevation and home to the highest paved road in North America making it an ideal location to search for high ranging species such as bighorn sheep, marmots, pikas and its most famous inhabitants, mountain goats. Because Mt. Evans is a popular destination for summer tourists, the mountain goats are especially accustom to people and will often be in very close proximity. We may even find some playful kids along the way.
Beautiful mountain scenery and 2,000 year old bristle cone pines will also give us an opportunity to capture unique and dramatic scenery.
