CHURCHILL - Summer 2012
Churchill is located on Hudson Bay Canada's largest inland sea. This is one of John Cornell favorite photo spots and he will lead this tour during a period of time that the Churchill river will be alive with Belugas with their new young.
Churchill is renowned for its rich variety of bird life more then 200 species of birds frequent the area we can expect to photograph the majority of birds in their very colorful breeding plumage.
Dawns light starts at 4:30 in the morning when you can expect to photograph Arctic fox, Red-necked Phalarope, Ross' Gull, Smith's Longspur, Parasitic Jaeger, Hoary Redpoll, Willow Ptarmigan and Pacific Loon and numerous others that frequent Churchill or pass itinerantly through the region. John will take our group to the current locations the birds are nesting at and it is also possible that you may see an itinerant Polar bear.
